• Sam Carter

    FOUNDER & LEAD PERSONAL TRAINER

    Level 4 Strength & Conditioning

    Level 3 Sports Massage

I spent 12 years as a serving member of the UK Armed Forces, where my day job was fixing helicopters, but this wasn’t a true passion. Before I joined the Royal Navy, I had been a gym instructor at my local sports centre where my love for training both myself and other people began. Fitness has been a part of my life ever since.

I haven’t prioritised fitness and I know first hand the effect that things like a poor diet, drinking too much and mental struggles can have. I’ve also overcome my fair share of injuries. My path has paved the way for me to better understand our bodies and minds.

Alongside my love for the gym, I have always had a passion for playing rugby. Rugby has opened many doors for me and allowed me to meet some amazing individuals. It’s a sport I truly love and truly love playing.

Over the years, I’ve discovered the impact that training can have on sport performance. I have learned how to adapt what I do in the gym to target the skills I need on the pitch, and I’ve experienced the rewards it can bring. The desire to share this knowledge was the driver behind obtaining my level 3 PT qualification, and the result is 2-6 LFT.

2-6 LFT is a unique “hybrid” way of training, utilising a blend of weightlifting, bodybuilding and functional fitness techniques to produce a well rounded body. Programmes for both general well being and improved sports performance are on offer. The focus is on helping you become a stronger, fitter and more functional version of yourself.

If you’re a rugby player seeking a bit more guidance on what you should be doing off the pitch, in order to improve performance on it, I’ll have a programme for you. Regardless of level and ability, or whether you’re a forward, back, scrum half or prop, together we can peak your game day performances.
